OBOS-banken er en norsk digital bank som opererer i Norge. For å bli kunde hos oss må du ha et norsk fødselsnummer eller D-nummer. Du må også være registrert med norsk bostedsadresse i Folkeregisteret. Dette gjelder også for norske statsborgere.

Who can become a customer of OBOS-banken?
OBOS-banken is a Norwegian digital bank operating in Norway. To become a customer, you must be registered with a Norwegian national identity number, or a D number. In addition, you must be registered with a Norwegian residential address in the National Population Register (Folkeregisteret). This also applies to Norwegian citizens.
Please note that OBOS-banken provides all written information solely in Norwegian.

Become a customer without BankID
If you do not have BankID, please contact us by phone to start the application process.
Please note that it may take up to 6 weeks from the time you contact us until you gain access to your account. The fee for becoming a customer without BankID is NOK 1000.
If you are not a Norwegian citizen and do not have BankID, you must provide copies of the following documents:
- A valid passport.
- Confirmation of your Norwegian national identity number or D number.
- Documentation of income (such as an employment contract, tax card, student ID, or documentation from NAV).
- A bank reference letter in English from a bank you have used either in Norway or in your home country. The letter must include your name, ID number, address, how long you have been a customer, and a description of your relationship with the bank.
- A valid Norwegian residence permit (this requirement does not apply to EEA citizens).
Become a customer with BankID
If you already have BankID from another Norwegian bank, you can use it to become a customer and open an account online.
Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a Norwegian residential address registered in the National Population Register (Folkeregisteret)
